MembershipThe American Guild of Organists is the national professional association serving the organ and choral music fields. Founded in 1896 as both an educational and service organization, the AGO sets and maintains high musical standards and promotes understanding and appreciation of all aspects of organ and choral music. The Guild currently serves approximately 25,000 members in 330 local chapters throughout the United States and abroad. All individuals interested in the organ and choral music fields are invited to join the American Guild of Organists. Membership is open to everyone, regardless of denominational affiliation or musical ability. Membership in the Guild affords access to a vast communications network with colleagues on local and national levels. In addition to fellowship and networking opportunities with other organists, choral directors, builders, technicians, and organ enthusiasts in the area, membership in the Columbus chapter includes:
