Job Description for Praise Group - Keyboard player
St. John Lutheran Church is seeking a keyboard player who demonstrates Christ in the way they live their life, who loves God and has a passion to serve Him with their gift of music.
The ideal candidate would also need to:
Be able to work well with others and in a Christ-like manner,
Be able to take direction,
Be self-motivated,
Have a Passion for contemporary music
Have knowledge of contemporary Christian music and an ability to read lead sheets (both are preferable, but not totally necessary)
Be open to using that knowledge and passion within the theological context of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod
Be Reliable and flexible
Be patient
Be able to play 2-3 times per month on Sunday mornings and
Come to rehearsals on Tuesday evenings
Have a good working knowledge of the keyboard, both playing and setup
Be available for possible extra rehearsals or longer rehearsals, especially during the Advent and Christmas Season or at other special times
