Clinton Heights Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) is seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time Pianist and/or Organist. This immediate opening offers an exciting opportunity to lead a congregation through inspiring musical ministry. Flexibility exists for a shared position if desired.
Core Responsibilities
Worship Leadership: Provide high-quality piano and/or organ music for regular Sunday worship services (currently one morning service).
Special Services: Coordinate and play for seasonal and special services, including Mid-week Lenten services, Holy Week, and Christmas Eve.
Life Events: Provide musical accompaniment for weddings and funerals, subject to your personal availability. Compensation for these services is paid by the requesting party.
Musical Collaboration: Accompany musical groups, ensembles, and soloists during worship services.
Worship Planning: Collaborate with the Pastor and the Worship and Music Committee to select music and plan services
Qualifications & Skills
Service Playing Experience: Prior experience with service playing and collaborative accompanying is highly desirable, along with the ability to play hymns in a manner that engages and encourages enthusiastic congregational singing.
Collaborative Spirit: A strong desire to partner with church leadership to enhance the spiritual and musical life of the congregation.
Compensation & Resources
Salary: Negotiable commensurate with experience
