About St. John’s Episcopal Church

The mission of St. John’s is to grow, heal, and serve with God’s wisdom, love, and joy. Our founding ethos of a community pulling together for the common good is evident today in our strong lay leadership, respected music ministry, and vibrant Christian formation for all ages. Liturgically, the parish is traditional and broad church; theologically, the parish holds diversity while fully affirming the ministry of LGBTQ+ people. Our music ministry’s repertoire ranges from classic Anglican hymnody to gospel anthems.

St. John’s is blessed with two pipe organs and a grand piano in the sanctuary. The present chancel organ is a three-manual instrument with 33 ranks and 1,952 pipes that was built for St. John’s by the Schantz Organ Company, installed in 1983. In 2021, St. John’s installed a 1-manual tracker-action organ from Harrison & Harrison in our balcony.
