Title: Pianist/Organist

Purpose: To provide piano and/or organ music for worship services and special
church events.

Accountability: Accountable to the Director of Music

Responsibilities:
1) To consult with the Director of Music on a weekly basis to determine hymns, praise songs and other music for the worship service.
2) To communicate with the Director of Music to determine music needed for choir selections.
3) To meet with the Worship and Music Committee and the Personnel Committee as needed.
4) To prepare and practice music to be played for each service.

Working Hours: Choir rehearsals & Praise Team take place on Thursday evening (6:00 pm – 8:30 pm) and prior to worship on Sunday morning from the first week in September through May, with opportunities to play during summer worship. There are at least two special worship services – Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve.

Evaluation: Work objectives and performance reviews will be conducted annually by the Personnel Committee of Session and the Pastor. The Personnel Committee will annually review the adequacy of compensation.
